Text reads: Help WLT raise $5000 in 24 hours. #OUGivingDay | April 8, 2025

Over the next eight days—between now and Giving Day (April 8)—your gift will help World Literature Today (WLT) further its mission: to serve students and readers everywhere with outstanding, timely coverage of world literature and culture. For 99 years and counting, WLT has been a window to the world, providing what Maya Angelou once called “absolutely the most welcome reading I’ve found in years.”

Here’s how you can help us reach our $5,000 goal:

  • For a $10 gift, you will receive a one-year subscription to the digital edition of World Literature Today magazine. (That is 66% off of our everyday digital subscription price!)

  • With your $25 donation, in addition to a one-year digital subscription, we will send you a set of limited-edition postcards that feature quotable quotes from recent WLT contributors: 2024 Nobel Prize winner Han Kang, 2025 Puterbaugh Fellow Guadalupe Nettel, 2024 Neustadt Prize laureate Ananda Devi, 2023 NSK Prize winner Gene Yang, and award-winning Turkish writer Elif Shafak.

  • For a $50 gift, WLT will donate a copy of Dispatches from the Republic of Letters, the 50th anniversary Neustadt Prize anthology, to a student, school library, or public library of your choice.

  • With your $100 donation, you will receive a one-year subscription to the print edition of the magazine, a copy of Dispatches, and one of two limited-edition broadside poems by Joy Harjo (2019–2022 US Poet Laureate) or Naomi Shihab Nye (2019–2021 US Young People’s Poet Laureate and winner of the 2013 NSK Prize). One broadside features Joy’s “Eagle Poem” in English, Spanish, and Arabic, while the other features Naomi’s “Jerusalem” poem in English, Arabic, and Hebrew.
