The Swiss author Simone Lappert (b. 1985) made her debut with her novel Wurfschatten (2014/2020) and published her second novel, Der Sprung, with Diogenes in 2019. längst fällige verwilderung (2022) is Lappert’s first poetry collection. She has received multiple awards and stipends. Lappert is the president of the international lyric festival in Basel and part of other committees and collectives. She was also writer in residence of the German House at New York University. She lives and works as a writer in Zurich.
