Announcing WLT’s 2018 Pushcart Prize Nominees
The editors of World Literature Today are delighted to announce our annual shortlist of Pushcart nominations for 2018. The Pushcart Prize honors the best poetry, short fiction, creative nonfiction, and essays published by small-press magazines and book publishers. By genre and issue, WLT’s six nominees include:

Congratulations to our nominated writers and translators! This is just a sampling of WLT’s extraordinary content from the past year—as always, choosing from more than a hundred contributors proved exceptionally difficult. This year also marks Li-Young Lee’s second nomination; his poem “Seven Marys” (WLT, July 2006, 27) was chosen for Pushcart Prize XXXII back in 2008.
As 2018 comes to a close, WLT’s editors would like to thank the many writers, translators, reviewers, contributing editors, University of Oklahoma colleagues and students, and readers who make World Literature Today a vital contribution to the conversation about international literature and culture.
