The 2015 Pulitzer Book Prizes were announced this week. All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr received the Pulitzer for fiction. A list of other winners is available here.

Just in time for National Poetry Month, the Library of Congress has digitized poetry and literature recordings from the past 75 years. The selections come from its Archive of Recorded Poetry and Literature and are now streaming online.

PEN recently announced the shortlist for the 2015 PEN Literary Awards. Join us in congratulating WLT contributors Naomi Klein and Denise Newman, as well as Samrat Upadhyay and Rabih Alameddine, who served as Neustadt jurors.

Josh Rothman wrote an article in the New Yorker that examines the complicated and often bizarre formula for literary fame. Rothman uses William Wordsworth as an example and also highlights other literary criticism.

Opening in London is a free pop-up exhibition featuring beautiful fairy-tale illustrations. The exhibit will be in conjunction with Literature Week and housed at the British Academy’s Carlton House Terrace. Mark your calendars for May 11-17. All events are free.
