Rea Amit is assistant professor in the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at the University of Oklahoma. He has published mainly on Asian media, aesthetics, and theory in several journals such as Philosophy East and West and Positions, as well as several book chapters in edited volumes. He is currently working on a manuscript tentatively titled Programed Viewership: Japanese Televisuality, Seriality, and Film as a Social Medium.
